Q: What is MediMee?

A: MediMee is an online emergency platform designed to help save lives. It contains all your Medical, Emergency Contact, Health & Travel insurance information all in one place for quick and easy reference. MediMee also interacts with wearable tech such as our Smart cards, Wristbands and Sticker kit to help give life saving information about an individual in a matter of seconds.



Q: Can anyone use MediMee?

A: Yes, MediMee was designed to be user friendly. Our app and wearable’s can be used by consumers of all ages, children or adults, during any type of activity.



Q: Can MediMee be used abroad?

A: Yes, MediMee can work anywhere in the world where a mobile device can get access to the internet, or there is a computer with access to the internet.



Q: How do I link a MediMee wearable to my profile?

A:    1. Locate the unique ID code printed on your MediMee wearable.

2. Log into your account using the App or go online and select link wearable.

3. Click on add NFC wearable and enter the type of device e.g. Wristband, Card  or       Sticker and then enter the unique ID code printed on your wearable device and hit save.



Q: How many MediMee wearable products can I link to my profile?

 A: Good question! You can link as many wearables as you like. Feel free to link multiple wristbands (we know you like your style), sticker kits, and a smart card for your wallet.  Any time you make an update to your profile all your linked MediMee wearable devices are updated instantly. I know cool right!                       



Q: what happens if I lose my wearable?

A: Don’t  worry, simply log into the app or go online and click the link wearable tab. Select the wearable you would like to unlink and that’s it all done, your device is no longer active. If you find your wearable device again simply link it back to your profile again. 



Q: Is my Information Secure?

A: Yes, We take your privacy very seriously. Access to your information is securely encrypted. If anyone wishes to access your profile in the event of an emergency, they need to be in physical contact with your wearable device and enter the unique ID code printed on the wearable. Also as an added layer of security, in the profile section a MediMee user has full customization and the ability to choose what information is displayed in a Public Profile. However the information that you are linking to your profile and wearable devices is information that, by its very nature, is something that you do want to make public, as it good be used to save your life.



Q: Dose MediMee work with Android and iPhone?

A: Yes, MediMee has dedicated Android and iOS apps, but also works with any mobile device that has a browser to navigate the internet, as well as any tablet or computer with access to the public internet. 



Q: What is NFC?

A: NFC stands for Near Field Communication. Essentially, it's a way for your phone to interact with something in close proximity. It operates within a radius of about an inch and provides a wireless connection between your device and another. This allows for two-way communication, with both devices involved being able to send and receive information.



Q: Which Smartphones can use the NFC function?

A: For now the  NFC tap function is only compatible with Android phones that have NFC readers built in—90% of all Android phones that are in the market right now have NFC readers (Android 4.4.2 and up click here to view a complete list ). You cannot use the MediMee tap function on iPhone until Apple unlocks and opens up the use of the NFC readers on their Smartphone’s. But not to worry, we have our iOS dedicated app to resolve this issue.
